Wiper Blade Maintenance

There are few things more frustrating than trying to drive while looking through a dirty windshield. In fact, doing so poses a hazard for you and others on the road. The problem commonly arises when the rubber blades on windshield wipers wear out. As the wipers move back and forth you may notice areas where the blades do not seem to make contact. This is a sure sign that one or both blades need replacing.

The sun, extreme temperatures and years of use commonly cause the rubber to wear thin, tear or shred. If allowed to progress too long, the rubber may disappear in certain spots, which causes the metal wiper to scratch the glass. Periodically check the condition of the blades to determine their condition. Thankfully, wiper blades are easy and inexpensive to replace. Keep your windshield clean by bringing your vehicle to our service center at Hendrick BMW Northlake to have replacements installed when needed.
