If  you've been to our BMW dealership in Charlotte, then you've seen one of our four available BMW 3 Series available on our lot - the Sedan, Coupe, Convertible or Sports Wagon. While the BMW 3 Series has never been dubbed a small car, it's also not a long-wheelbase vehicle. That's going to change soon, over in the Chinese market.

Recently at the Beijing motor show, BMW released a version of the BMW 3 Series with a stretched wheelbase. 4.33 more inches have been to the models that will be produced and sold in China. They will be sold as the BMW 335Li and 328Li, and will feature turbocharged engines.

The variants represent the second set of long-wheelbase models BMW has made solely for dealerships in China, the BMW 5-Series being the first. This underscores industry-wide attempts to capitalize on the burgeoning auto market there.

To emphasize the longer, Li wheelbase at the Beijing International Auto Show, BMW also showcased the ActiveHybrid 3, BMW M6 and 6-Series Gran Coupe and the conventional BMW 3-Series.
