The new 2013 BMW X1 can't arrive at ourBMW dealership serving Charlotte, NC, soon enough. But in the meantime, we've found something to keep is occupied for a little while. We are recommending our customers to check out the BMW X1 configuration site.

The site allows you to build your own BMW X1 before stepping foot onto our lot. The online tool gives you a detailed overview at the end of the configuration process that shows how much each of your choices cost and what they add to the driving experience.

To get started, visit http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/content/byo/default.aspx. Once there, you'll be able to select one of three BMW X1 models to customize. They include the sDrive28i, xDrive28i, and xDrive35i. After selecting your model, the next step is to choose your trim. The BMW X1 can be had in one of three trim levels, which includes the X Line, Sport Line, and M Sport Line. Each model and trim adds different options, so make sure to check each combination over carefully.

Once you've selected your model/trim, it's time to customize. You'll start with exterior/interior color options. Specifically, there are eleven metallic and two non-metallic exterior colors to choose, as well as seven leather and two leatherette colors. Add onto that the choice of two unique interior trim accents, and it's easy to see that the combinations are seemingly endless.

But, perhaps, more exciting than the aesthetics of customizing the BMW X1 are the functional options and packages that you can choose from in doing so. There are a number of packages to choose from that add features like heated seats, headlight washers, a rear-view camera, adaptive light control, an ambiance lighting.

Overall, Hendrick BMW Northlake suggests customizing a BMW X1 to learn more about what it offers, and to have a few good talking points ready for when you visit our lot, located at 10720 Northlake Auto Plaza Blvd. in Charlotte, NC, in the near future for a test drive.
