You know the feisty BMW 3.0-liter inline six engine, luxury drivers across the world are so crazy for? Well, it looks like the Bavarian automaker might just be readying themselves to introduce a new model with an engine about half that size.

Bear in mind all of this has yet to be confirmed by BMW themselves. However, trusted source Autocar contends luxury drivers with less discerning power requirements have a new FWD BMW model to look forward to. They say it will be coined the "1 Series GT".

If Autocar is right, BMW will unveil the alleged 1 Series GT at the Paris Motor Show this fall, and the production model will launch roughly two years after.
