HENDRICK AUTOMOTIVE GROUP OPENS LUXURY AUTO MALL
NORTHLAKE LOCATION FEATURES BMW, LEXUS AND MERCEDES-BENZ
CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 23, 2012 - Hendrick Automotive Group will open the Hendrick Luxury Auto Mall at Northlake on Tuesday, April 24. The state-of-the-art facility, located at 10720 Northlake Auto Plaza Boulevard in North Charlotte, will offer BMW, Lexus and Mercedes-Benz sales and service.

The Hendrick Luxury Auto Mall at Northlake is the newest addition to Hendrick Automotive Group. The auto mall features more than 130,000 square feet of retail space specifically designed for customer convenience and comfort. It features pedestrian walkways, vehicle display pads, modern street lighting and generous landscaping.
Together, Hendrick BMW Northlake, Hendrick Lexus Northlake and Mercedes-Benz of Northlake, will offer more than 700 new, and certified, as well as non-certified, pre-owned BMW, Lexus and Mercedes-Benz vehicles, and a selection of other luxury pre-owned cars. Sixty-six state-of-the-art service bays will be utilized, offering guaranteed Hendrick-quality vehicle service. The auto mall will employ more than 130 professionals.

Cliff Spangler will serve as Hendrick BMW Northlake's General Manager and offers 15 years of experience with Hendrick Automotive Group. He began his career in sales and was most recently the New Car Manager at Hendrick BMW on Independence Boulevard in Charlotte.
Hendrick Lexus Northlake will be managed by Chris Calder. Calder has spent his nearly 17 years with Hendrick Automotive Group in service operations, most recently working as Service Director at Hendrick Lexus on Independence Boulevard.
Brian Porta will oversee Mercedes-Benz of Northlake as its General Manager. His Hendrick Automotive Group career began in 1997 at Hendrick BMW on Independence Boulevard. Porta has since held management positions in New Car Sales, Financing, Variable Operations and Retail Operations. He most recently was the General Manager of Hendrick Motors of Hickory.
"Our three general managers have an average tenure of more than 15 years within the Hendrick organization," Desmond said. "They know our culture of delivering a world-class experience to our customers."
All three dealerships at the Hendrick Luxury Auto Mall at Northlake will offer loaner vehicles, a shuttle service to nearby Northlake Mall, free Wi-Fi and a children's play area. A gas station and convenience store will be opened on the property later this year.
Although there are no current plans for additional store openings, the 50-acre Hendrick Luxury Auto Mall at Northlake is zoned to accommodate up to six total dealerships.
