Those of you who are familiar with the BMW X6 model which was introduced in 2008, are most likely impressed with its overall design. BMW, however felt like it could take this model and make the next generation redesign even more appealing by increasing its size and making it more aggressive. Here at Hendrick BMW Northlake we are excited to uncover the details regarding what the enhancements will bring to the new BMW lineup.
According to an Autocar insider report, the second-generation BMW X6 will make its glorious debut during the 2014 Moscow Motor Show. It will then become available to dealerships later next summer. The automaker hopes its more aggressive styling will further differentiate it from similarly designed models within the lineup like the BMW X3 and the BMW X5.
In terms of design, the BMW X6 will be built on the same platform as the BMW X5, but its interior cabin will be enlarged to provide more legroom to second-row passengers. The two models will also share the same powertrains which include turbocharged six-cylinder and eight-cylinder engines. We can also expect to see a more powerful, high performance BMW X6 M model as an option within the lineup. Based on the impressive performance of the current BMW X6 which sports a V8 engine, we can't wait to experience what the next generation model has to offer by taking it for a spin in the greater Charlotte, NC area.
