What does the BMW 7 Series and Robbe & Berking, the tableware manufacturer have in common? Both have a reputation, for being, well, sterling. But what happens when you get the latter to actually fashion components of a 760Li out of silver? Something pretty stylish, indeed.

As a matter of fact, that's exactly what BMW's Individual Manufaktur branch and Robbe & Berking did recently with one such car. By giving it their silver touch, the team of tableware makers may have actually managed to make the 7 Series look even more luxurious.

The one-off vehicle, dubbed the 760Li Sterling, was given furnishings on both its inside and out. As far as exterior looks, the car's trademark kidney grille was cast entirely of sterling, as well as its tail pipe, and the band around the bottom portion of the trunk. The silversmiths also crafted the BMW insignia on the hood as well.

On the inside, it was the center console and side panels that got their shining due, with silver stitching and borders added to much of the upholstery. All in all, a fitting tribute for a car that already shines on the roadways of our Charlotte, NC locale.

The car also received a special touch to its underpinnings, as well. No, it's not silver, but its performance is just as good. After all, how could you go wrong with a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 with 535 horsepower and 550 lb.-ft of torque?

If standing out is your automotive prerogative, we think you'll love the 7 Series. Drop on by Hendrick BMW Northlake and take a gander at the options we have to offer, such as the 740i, 740Li, and the 750i. Sign up for a test drive. You may just fall in love.
