The Gran Turismo models in the BMW lineup offer the perfect blend of sports sedan and hatchback with a coupe-like flair. Now, there’s a newcomer. Meet the all-new 6 Series Gran Turismo, which will be the sole variant of the nameplate now that the two-door coupe is gone. Based off the all-new 5 Series’ architecture, it promises a winning ride.
You’ll see that family resemblance when looking at the car head on, but once you get past the B pillars, the roof swoops down into an elegant rear hatch with a truncated rear deck. The 6 Series Gran Turismo comes with 12 available exterior colors, 19 or 20 inch wheels, but only one trim level—the 640i. It’ll also be quite quick, with a 335 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque turbocharged inline-six under the hood. The interior is where the relation to the 5 Series is best seen—in fact, the two are practically identical, and that’s not a bad thing.
