BMW is a brand of constant innovation and showcases this in their exciting and stylish new models. The Los Angeles Auto Show just began and the Bavarian automaker successfully sought to arrive on the scene with a bang. This thrilling event marks the North American debut for many models that we've heard and talked about but are now seeing without own eyes for the first time on our shores.
The BMW 4 Series convertible made its world debut and garners the most attention for its unique for its unique three-part hardtop that can automatically fold down in just 20 seconds with the mere touch of a button when traveling at speed up to 11 miles per hour.
The electric BMW i3 and hybrid i8 also made their official debut, and showcase the Bavarian automaker's versatility and creativity with a lightweight carbon fiber construction and efficient powertrains with low emissions that don't come at the cost of sacrificed power and performance.
While the BMW X4 Concept hasn't officially been green lighted by the brand for production, it seems highly likely that this will be the end result. While specs haven't been officially released, it is believed the model will feature a similar powertrain to the X3. This would provide drivers with the option between a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 240 horsepower or a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine that generates 300 horsepower.
"All these BMWs represent one thing," says Ludwig Willisch, president and CEO of BMW North America. "Acceleration on four wheels."1
